I forgot to add one thing. I live in California but I have a lot of off roster handguns. Legally, California’s can buy off roster handguns via private party. So if you come to California and do any required paperwork on you part as a new resident then I can buy your Glock off you, as an example.

Kenny, not currently. There are no .380 Glocks on the CA DOJ Roster. It must be on the CA DOJ approved Roster to be brought in and owned by filling out a resident transfer form.. If not on the CA DOJ Roster it must be sold. oag.ca.gov/firearms/certified-handguns/search?make=150972

Yes, you will need to submit a New Resident Report of Firearm Ownership and a $19 fee within 60 days of moving. More on that here: https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/ab991

Yes, you can. Those who move in from out of state are considered a personal firearm importer. You are considered a personal firearm importer as defined by California law. You may bring all of your California-legal firearms with you, but you must report them all to the California Department of Justice within 60 days as required utilizing the New Resident Firearm Ownership Report (BOF 4010A), pdf. You may not bring ammunition feeding devices with a capacity greater than ten rounds, machine guns, or assault weapons into California. Now, if a firearm is NOT on the Handgun Roster you can still bring that handgun in as long as it doesn’t have all illegal stuff. The handgun does not have to be on the roster. I suggest you call several FFL dealers near the area in which you are moving in California. I live in California and firearms laws change all the time by getting worse. It was my pleasure to assist you.
