In many gun ranges near me, shotguns can only be shot with slug rounds which have massive recoil. My question is, do these blanks have less recoil? I'm training my family members who are scared of the soreness/ bruising to their smaller frame.

Anthony, blanks have a little bit of recoil but it will be noticably less than a standard slug. So smaller framed people or people who are recoil shy shouldn't have any issue. Hope this helps.
